Legal & Policies

Effective date: October 30, 2026 (pending publication review). The Write-Up by Saša Cibula. If applicable law provides protections that cannot be waived, those protections still apply.

The Write-Up publishes free management articles and practical resources and offers a paid Member Library. Separate courses, live programs and private coaching may be presented on the publication but purchased through a linked services storefront. This page explains how information, content and purchases are handled. Mandatory legal rights always apply.

01

Privacy Policy

1. Scope and operator

The Write-Up by Saša Cibula ("we," "our," or "us") operates getthewriteup.com, including its published articles, videos, free tips and tools, forms, member accounts, premium resources, newsletter, contributor applications and contact features. This Privacy Policy describes the personal information we collect and use in connection with the publication. Separate websites and providers, including a linked Payhip storefront, may provide additional privacy notices for their services.

2. Information we collect

Information you supply: name, email, account information, contact and support messages, newsletter choices, contributor submissions, professional biography, photo and LinkedIn link where provided, content permissions, and membership-related details. Purchase and access details: order or transaction identifiers, membership status, payment confirmation, renewal or expiration information, customer-support history and resource access needed to provide your membership. Payment processors generally handle full payment-card details; do not send payment-card numbers through our forms. Technical and usage information: IP address, approximate region inferred from IP, device/browser type, pages and resources accessed, log information, cookies or similar identifiers, and video playback data when collected by the website or embedded services. Exact third-party tracking and cookies must be verified on the deployed site before publishing this policy.

Please do not send passwords, Social Security numbers, employee personnel records, private employer documents, medical records or another person's sensitive information through our public forms.

3. Why we use personal information

We use information to create and secure accounts; confirm membership eligibility and deliver protected videos and publications; process purchases and billing support; answer contact requests; assess contributor submissions and manage author credits; send newsletters and publication updates when allowed; maintain the website and prevent abuse; analyze general service performance when analytics are enabled; protect our rights; and meet legal and tax obligations. We do not use submitted workplace details as permission to publish them.

Where European or UK data-protection laws apply, our legal basis may be performance of a contract, legitimate interests in running and securing the publication, compliance with law, or consent for activities requiring it, including certain optional marketing technologies.

4. Service providers and disclosures

We use or may use providers involved in hosting and site infrastructure (including Base44), payment and checkout infrastructure (the current exported membership checkout references Base44/Wix payments), email delivery, file storage, and Bunny-hosted video streaming. Separate course and service purchases may be handled through Payhip and its payment partners. Data is shared only to support those functions, with professional advisers, on lawful request, or at your direction. Providers' own policies may apply when you interact with their services. We must verify the deployed site's actual vendor inventory and whether advertising pixels, cross-site tracking or legally defined data "sharing" is active before publication. We do not claim that a provider is involved if it is not actually enabled.

5. Cookies and embedded media

Required cookies may support accounts, sessions and security. If used, analytics, preference, advertising or embedded-media cookies can collect additional technical information. Bunny video embeds may involve requests to Bunny's systems when a player loads. The separate Cookie Notice below explains categories and choices. Where consent is required, nonessential technologies should wait for that consent; where applicable, legally recognized opt-out signals must be honored. The exact live cookie inventory, purposes and settings controls must be verified before publication.

6. Retention and security

We retain data only for the time reasonably necessary for its purposes: account and membership administration, contributor permissions and publishing records, responses to inquiries, business records, tax duties, dispute handling and security. Exact retention periods differ by data type and lawful obligation. We apply reasonable security measures and access restrictions, but no website or transmission method can guarantee absolute security. If a security incident triggers legal notice obligations, we will follow applicable law.

7. Your privacy rights

Depending on your location and the laws that apply, you may be entitled to request access, correction, deletion, a copy of information, restriction or objection, withdrawal of consent, or an opt-out of certain sale, sharing or targeted-advertising activities. Rights may have exceptions (for example, required records or legal claims). Send a request through Contact The Write-Up, select a privacy-related subject or identify the request in the message, and we will use a reasonable verification procedure. Unsubscribe from marketing messages using the link in an applicable email. Where applicable, we honor valid browser privacy signals and provide appeal or regulator-contact routes required by law. We do not discriminate unlawfully because you exercise privacy rights.

8. International users, children and changes

Information may be processed in the United States or other countries where service providers operate, subject to safeguards required by law. The publication is written for working professionals and is not directed at children under 13; we do not knowingly solicit their personal information. If you believe a child submitted data, contact us. We may update this notice as practices change. Material changes will be communicated when required, and the revised effective date will be shown on this page.

Terms of Use

1. Acceptance and scope

These Terms of Use apply to use of The Write-Up at getthewriteup.com. By using the site, you agree to its lawful-use and intellectual-property rules. Membership purchases are also subject to the Sales & Refund Policy below and the terms shown before payment. Purchases made through independent services, including Payhip, may additionally be subject to their checkout terms and specific offer agreements. If a transaction-specific, properly disclosed agreement conflicts with these general website terms for that transaction, the specific agreement generally governs to the extent legally permitted.

2. Free and premium content licenses

Free articles, forms, videos and publications are provided for reading and legitimate personal or internal professional learning. Unless a resource expressly says otherwise, neither free access nor a paid membership transfers copyright or permits copying entire works for distribution, republishing, reselling, uploading to another course or platform, sharing membership credentials, uploading protected works to public repositories, or using our materials to train or populate a commercial content product without written permission. Members may stream all published premium videos available during an active membership and access publications as the actual resource listing permits. Access does not grant the right to redistribute video streams or downloadable files. Readers may adapt an individual blank form for their own internal workplace use, but may not resell our branded templates or distribute a commercial toolkit without permission.

3. Accounts and acceptable use

Keep account credentials secure and use your own membership. Do not evade access controls, scrape content at abusive scale, interfere with the site, attempt unauthorized access, upload malicious code, impersonate others or submit content you do not have authority to share. We may restrict access for serious misuse, subject to applicable law, and will not treat an ordinary, good-faith privacy or consumer complaint as prohibited conduct.

4. Articles, contributor submissions and permissions

Contributors must own their submitted work or hold the rights needed to license or authorize its publication, including any reprint rights, photographs and third-party material. A submission is a request for editorial consideration, not a guarantee of acceptance, placement, permanent promotion, payment or a publishing contract. We may edit and fact-check accepted content by agreement. Submission alone does not transfer copyright or authorize us to publish without the contributor's required consent; separate written permission or a contributor agreement will govern the license to publish, attribution, permitted edits and any withdrawal requests. Readers must not assume contributors' individual views are endorsed or professional advice.

5. Availability and external services

We may update, replace or retire resources, correct errors and maintain the website. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access. If a material paid service is unavailable, consumer remedies required by law and the applicable transaction terms remain in force. Embedded videos are delivered through Bunny; courses, masterclasses and coaching offered elsewhere may be hosted or fulfilled by other providers under separately disclosed terms. External websites have their own policies.

6. Education, professional judgment and results

Articles, videos, tools, white papers and other materials are educational information, not legal, medical, financial, tax, licensed employment-law or clinical advice. Evaluate the material in the context of your role, organization and local law; consult qualified advisers when needed. We do not guarantee promotions, earnings, employment decisions, team results or specific professional outcomes.

7. Liability, enforceability and changes

To the extent allowed by law, the publication is provided without a guarantee of fitness for a particular professional decision, and we exclude liability for indirect losses arising solely from the lawful use of general informational content. Nothing in these Terms removes rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded, including rights relating to fraud, intentional misconduct or required consumer protections. If any term is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect where permitted. Material changes to paid terms will not retroactively alter completed purchases without a lawful basis. Contact us through Contact The Write-Up with terms questions.

Sales, Refunds & Membership

1. All sales final — no refunds

ALL SALES ARE FINAL. NO REFUNDS, EXCHANGES OR PRORATED CREDITS FOR A CHANGE OF MIND, UNUSED MEMBER ACCESS, OR FAILURE TO USE PURCHASED DIGITAL MATERIALS, EXCEPT WHERE APPLICABLE LAW REQUIRES OTHERWISE. This rule applies to direct purchases of The Write-Up Member Library and digital content offered by The Write-Up, when clearly disclosed before payment. Because digital content and access can be delivered immediately, we do not offer a discretionary money-back or satisfaction guarantee. A site's general "no refunds" statement does not eliminate statutory cancellation, withdrawal, non-delivery, defect, misrepresentation or other mandatory remedies in a buyer's jurisdiction.

2. What the $79 annual membership includes

The Member Library is currently planned and marketed at $79 USD per year. A paid, active membership provides access to the premium videos then published in the library, including the Bunny-hosted video collections, and premium publications offered for member reading or download. All active members can watch all published premium member videos without an additional video-by-video fee. Items described as planned or in production are not promises of immediate availability or of a fixed number on the date of purchase. Separately sold Payhip courses, masterclasses and private coaching are not included in The Write-Up membership.

3. Automatic renewal and informed consent

The original exported website checkout is configured for annual automatic renewal. If automatic renewal is used on the live website, the checkout must show the price, currency, annual billing interval, renewal date or method of calculating it, material terms, how to cancel, and the no-refunds rule before payment, and collect any consent required by law. A charge must not be described as "one-time" if the actual payment system will renew automatically. If the final production billing model changes to nonrenewing annual access, revise this entire section and checkout to reflect that model before selling. We do not assume that a Payhip storefront purchase and the on-site membership use the same billing system.

4. Cancellation and access after cancellation

Canceling an automatically renewing membership stops future renewal charges when cancellation is effective. Cancellation does not ordinarily provide a refund for the current paid billing period, except where required by law. To respect the purchased access period, the intended member experience is continued access through the paid-through date unless a clearly disclosed, lawful exception applies. The legacy exported cancellation handler appears to revoke access immediately; that implementation must be audited and corrected before these terms go live or memberships are sold under these terms. Provide a functioning, reasonably accessible cancellation path in the live account/billing interface, or verified support instructions if account self-service is unavailable. Never display a cancellation URL or button that does not work.

5. Failed access, duplicate charges and required remedies

If a paid member cannot access a purchased entitlement, or believes they were charged twice or billed without authorization, they should contact The Write-Up support. We will investigate and work to restore legitimate access or correct the billing issue. Mandatory legal remedies remain available where goods or services are not provided as promised, are materially defective, or where a charge is unauthorized. Nothing here limits a customer's lawful right to raise a payment dispute.

6. Separately purchased services and retailer products

Self-paced courses and bundles, live masterclasses, workshops and private coaching offered through services.sasacibula.com / Payhip are separate purchases. Their prices, deliverables, scheduling and any cancellation terms must be displayed on their actual product or booking pages and at checkout. Apply a no-refunds policy to those separate offers only where clearly stated before purchase and legally permitted; if the seller cancels an event or cannot deliver a promised service, applicable law and the specific offer agreement control the remedy. Books purchased through Amazon, Lulu or another external retailer are subject to that retailer's applicable sales and return terms. The Write-Up membership does not include those purchases.

7. Taxes, changes and disclosures at checkout

Applicable sales taxes, currency, billing frequency and any processing charges must be shown clearly at checkout as required by law. We may change future prices prospectively with applicable notices and consent. Purchase terms should be retained in the customer's order confirmation. A link to this legal page alone is not enough: show a concise, conspicuous final-sale and renewal disclosure beside the payment action.

Cookies & Tracking Notice

1. Types of technology

Cookies, local storage, embedded media and similar technologies can support secure sign-in and preferences; measure site use; deliver Bunny videos; and, if enabled, support marketing or advertising measurement. Necessary technologies support secure, requested functions. Optional analytics, advertising and preference technologies must be classified from the actual deployed site rather than inferred from this template.

2. Consent and choices

Where required by applicable law, nonessential tracking must be disabled until appropriate consent is given. If optional cookies are enabled, provide real, functioning acceptance/rejection and preference controls, and a way to withdraw consent. Browser settings can also block or clear cookies, although some essential features may then fail. Where applicable, honor legally required opt-out signals. Do not display a dead "Cookie settings" link or claim a consent banner exists when it does not.

3. Embedded videos and third-party websites

Loading a Bunny video player may disclose technical usage information to the video service. When you follow a link to Payhip or an external site, that destination may set its own cookies under its own policy. The site owner must inventory actual embedded services, analytics and ad pixels and disclose their names, purposes and retention accurately before publishing the final notice.

05

Copyright, Contributors & Editorial Disclosures

1. Rights and attribution

Unless otherwise credited, The Write-Up design and original content are owned by Saša Cibula or used under license. Contributing authors retain the rights provided by their publication agreements; their bylines and LinkedIn profiles appear with permission. Copyright notices, quotations, reprints and credited third-party material remain subject to the applicable rights holders' terms. Report suspected infringement through Contact The Write-Up, including the work, the specific URL, proof of ownership or authority, and contact details. We will review credible claims. Do not claim a registered DMCA designated agent unless one has actually been registered.

2. Editorial independence and sponsored material

Articles reflect the judgment of their identified authors. We may edit for clarity, accuracy and practical usefulness, but publication does not mean the advice is suitable for every employer or jurisdiction. If an article, review, recommendation, contributor placement or link involves payment, sponsorship, an affiliate relationship or another material connection, we will disclose that relationship where legally required. Do not add testimonials or claimed outcomes unless genuine and authorized.

3. AI-assisted material and satire

The publication may use AI-supported tools to help develop, edit, illustrate or produce certain materials. Human editorial responsibility remains with the publication or the credited author as applicable; AI assistance does not guarantee factual accuracy. Founder's Thought is serious editorial commentary. The 2057 News Desk is satire and may use fictional or exaggerated depictions; it is not a source of factual reporting about real future events. These distinctions should appear in the relevant content area as well as this policy.

4. No endorsement and accessibility

References to employers, brands, products or other people do not imply their sponsorship or endorsement unless explicitly stated. We aim to make the site accessible and welcome reports of barriers through Contact The Write-Up. An accessibility commitment is not a claim that every page or third-party video has been independently certified.

06

Contact, Updates & Mandatory Rights

Questions about privacy, account access, copyright, transactions or these policies can be sent through Contact The Write-Up. Use the site's actual contact mechanism; do not publish an invented email address or postal address. If a law requires a specific postal address, registered agent, privacy contact or other formal disclosure, add verified details before launch. Nothing on this page limits statutory consumer rights or lawful privacy rights. We may revise these policies when our actual practices change, and will update the effective date and give additional notice where required.
